Spokane Public Schools

Reading Buddies highlight: Learn about one of many volunteer roles.

Spokane Public School District has many opportunities to get involved and enrich the lives of students. Programs range from reading with students, mentoring, walking kids to school, and many more volunteer roles.

Getting Started

1. Browse and choose a role to serve in

Spokane Public Schools have many of ways you can volunteer! Visit this link review the different roles you can serve in. When you apply, you will be asked to choose which role you’d like to apply for.

2. Apply

Fill out the Spokane Public Schools’ application at this link using a desktop computer—the application is not mobile-friendly.

Tip: Before filling out the application you’ll need a photo of your driver’s license (.jpg format recommended), and to have downloaded, completed, and saved the SPS Disclosure Statement form to upload to the application.

On step 6 you may check the box that you are from Life Center.

3. Approval

When your application is approved, you will receive an email from raptortech.com

Wait for your application to be approved before moving to Step 3

4. Contact the school

After receiving your approval email, contact the school you selected on your volunteer application and ask to speak with the Volunteer Coordinator about your volunteer interests.

The Volunteer Coordinator will put you in touch with the person leading your volunteer role and share your start date and details.
